C++ developer on Linux

Hamburg, Germany

To strengthen our C++ team, we are looking for a senior C++ developer on Linux. An ideal candidate will have fluent English skills and work on our Linux-based Qrystal Probes, which monitor the SIP and RTP traffic of several thousand concurrent VoIP telephony calls. Can you write multi-threaded, high-performance C++ Linux daemons and ideally have some experience handling IP packets in your career? Can you debug your code in a Linux environment? You choose Linux as your preferred operating system to be the most efficient in your daily work? Are you able to read RFCs and implement working solutions?

Your Tasks:

  • Take responsibility for parts of the Qrystal Probe code base
  • Detect and troubleshoot software issues
  • Understand technical standards and write code for IP protocols used for voice communication in fixed and mobile networks
  • Contribute to discussions regarding the best approach for achieving desired results
  • Write maintainable source code and provide feedback during code reviews for your team

Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of proven working experience with C++ on Linux
  • Good knowledge of relational databases and the SQL language is a plus
  • You have already written many multithreaded C++ Linux applications, so you can focus on the implementation of an RFC standard instead of thinking how to write C++ code
  • You know how to create and read pcap traces to help develop and debug your code
  • A telecommunications background in is a plus
