San Jose, Hamburg March 14, 2008: The technology company VoIPFuture is expanding its business model and entering the US market. VoIPFuture will be taking part in one of the major international conferences and expos featuring the topics of IP communication and telecommunication being held in San Jose, California on March 17-20. VoIPFuture is addressing the American market specifically and will be presenting itself at booth 737 to professional visitors, the trade public, analysts and IT journalists. The VoIPFuture Monitor and VoIPFuture Manager products will be presented for the first time at the event. Enterprise customers, system integrators, carriers and ISPs are being addressed.

Olaf Zäncker, CEO of VoIPFuture, explains the move to the US market as follows: “In the past few months we’ve been able to gain experience with international telcos and ISPs and have noticed that we are coming in at the right time with our products for the analysis and diagnosis of VoIP quality in voice data networks, because carriers, VoIP providers and hardware manufacturers continue to
complain about unsolved quality problems and have to take action. We support them in this with our VoIPFuture Monitor and VoIPFuture Manager products. The Monitor complements the Library presented in January this year as a basic component. It provides the same powerful algorithms for analysis and diagnosis of VoIP quality in real time and can process thousands of VoIP calls being held concurrently. This makes it possible for the first time to implement manufacturer-agnostic, high-performance SLA monitoring for VoIP environments. The Monitor supports all conventional codecs and VoIP standards. The special feature of the VoIPFuture Monitor is the real-time diagnosis of specific causes that can lead to an impact on VoIP quality. Examples of this include Network Buffering, Sender Synchronization, and much more. For the first time this includes approx. 25-30% of the problems which already occur during the generation of VoIP packets and which previously have remained completely undetected for lack of suitable methods. Due to its platform independence the Monitor can be deployed without difficulty in all live VoIP environments. We kept an important aspect in mind from the beginning: In contrast to existing technologies, the method for analyzing data packets no longer requires sensitive voice information (payload). Analysis data is thus anonymized, protecting privacy. The VoIPFuture Manager manages the quality data collected by
distributed VoIPFuture Monitors working separately, enabling the activation of alarms as well as integration into existing management systems.”

Thorsten Deutrich, VoIPFuture’s Sales Director, adds: “The analysis and diagnosis data delivered by the Monitor is collected, correlated and is displayed in context in the Manager. It doesn’t matter if data is being delivered by one or multiple monitors. Extensive filter and alarm functions enable permanent monitoring of the network and provide information about all deviations from the nominal state which can impact the quality of voice transmissions. Should a problem occur, detailed views of the analysis and diagnosis data permit quick rectification of the cause of the error.”
