The RTP Monitoring Probes are capable of analyzing 1 GbE links at full line rate and also support monitoring of 10 GbE links. The probes generate a detailed metric for every 5s segment of each stream. This metric is called the quality data record (QDR). The collected data is transferred to the Application Manager for post-processing, correlation and to calculate KPIs. The Application Manager features a high-performance database cluster that is designed to handle and store data relating to billions of call minutes and thus caters even for the largest carrier networks. All in-call information, including the detailed QDRs, is available for weeks and can be accessed by other OSS and BSS systems.
